SRA Partners with Kilsyth NBL1 Women for 2026 Pre-Season
We are excited to announce our new partnership with the Kilsyth NBL1 Women’s basketball team, supporting their upcoming pre-season strength and conditioning program. This partnership will see athletes taken through a 3-month intensive pre-season schedule designed to physically and mentally prepare athletes for the demands of the upcoming NBL1 season.
High Performance Team
The program will be led by Senior High Performance Coach, Rahni Samason, who brings a wealth of experience as both an elite athlete and performance coach. Rahni also currently serves as the High Performance Coach for Montrose Senior Football Club, where her athlete-first approach has been instrumental in driving player development and results.
We are equally excited to be working alongside former SRA staff member, Coach Emilee Whittle-Harmon, who has recently burst onto the basketball coaching scene at the NBL1 level. Emilee is already turning heads with her eye for detail, player development mindset and results-driven coaching style and we can’t wait to see the impact she makes across the Kilsyth program.
What the Program Involves
Across the pre-season, athletes will be supported with a wide range of tools and services to maximise their performance:
- Full gym memberships and access to SRA recovery services
- Individualised training programs tailored to each athlete
- Track-based speed sessions to build acceleration, first step quickness and athleticism
- Structured team warm-up and cool-down strategies
- Ongoing education and support in athletic development
This holistic approach ensures players are not only physically prepared but also equipped with the knowledge and habits to excel throughout the season.
Internship Opportunity
As part of this program, we are opening applications for 1 student intern placement.
This role is perfect for someone with a passion for basketball who is eager to gain hands-on industry experience in the semi-professional and pro sport sector.

We are excited to be part of the Kilsyth NBL1 Women’s journey and can’t wait to see the growth and success that comes from this partnership for years to come.
