About The Program

Our Junior Athlete Development Program is an 8 week beginner-intermediate course designed to teach athletes the skills on how to run faster, jump higher, and become stronger on the court/field.

Athletes will develop essential skills that directly improve their movement, strength, boost self-confidence and reduce their risk of injury.

What's Included:

  • Pre & Post Performance Testing (strength, speed, agility & vertical jump)
  • Introduction to proper warm up, cool down & athlete recovery strategies
  • Introduction to mobility, strength & core training specific for athletes
  • Improve speed, power, strength & overall athleticism

General Program Questions:

What age group is this program designed for?

This program is designed for athletes between the ages of 9-15, with a focus on developing foundational athletic skills suitable to their age and sporting experience.

What sport is this program best for?

This program is ideal for court and field based sports such as basketball, netball, football and soccer. However, the fundamental skills developed – speed, power, strength are beneficial for a wide range of sports.

What are the key areas of development in this program?

We focus on the 5 foundations of athlete development – mobility, stability, strength, movement and injury prevention. Athletes will build a strong foundation that improves their overall performance and educates them on how to take good care of their bodies.

How is this program different from other programs?

Our program has a holistic approach compared to any other program on the market. We focus on educating and empowering our athletes with the skills and knowledge they need for a successful athletic career.

Do athletes need prior experience to join?

No prior experience is necessary. This program is designed to progressively build skills, meaning both beginner and more advanced athletes will benefit from our tailored coaching.

Program Structure & Schedule:

How often are the training sessions?

Sessions are run once per week, allowing athletes flexibility in their weekly schedule. Athletes are taught exercises that can be used as part of their individual warm ups for team training and games.

How many athletes are in each group?

We allow for up to 15 athletes per group, we will always have two coaches present, allowing the group to be split into beginner and advanced exercises.

What happens if my child is injured?

Athletes with injuries or medical conditions should inform our coaches prior to training. We modify the session plan to accommodate any rehabilitation needs. We highly suggest you book a consultation with our in house physiotherapy team here.

What happens if my child misses a session?

We offer make-up sessions where possible, if an athlete is absent, we ask for prior notice so we can plan accordingly.

Can parents watch the training session?

Parents are welcome to observe from a designated area, in our experience most parents drop their kids off then go and do some shopping or visit the cafe across the road.

Is there a pathway for athletes to progress into higher level programs?

Yes! This program serves as a stepping stone into our High Performance Program. This program becomes more individualised and tailored specifically towards the needs of each athlete, perfect for those serious about taking the next step in their athletic journey.
