Edinburgh College Basketball Program
The Edinburgh College Basketball Academy commenced on Wednesday 28th January. The program provides a clear, long-term development pathway from foundational movement and basic basketball skills through to elite-level performance training. Led by a team of experienced coaches including; Carly Stones, Emilee Whittle-Harmon, Luke Rosendale, Nikita Young, Isaiah Stratford and Chayse Vincent the program develops both performance and character, offering motivated athletes opportunities to train with intent, compete at higher levels, and pursue school, representative, and elite basketball pathways.
VALD Force Frame
We have received an exciting new delivery at SRA this month! Introducing SRA’S newest high performance technology – the VALD Force Frame is now ready for use at SRA. The VALD Force Frame is used to test an athlete’s isometric strength, highlighting any asymmetries and tracking rehabilitation and performance programs. This is an exciting opportunity for our athletes, allowing them to access elite-level assessments. Make sure to book in for a performance screen with James using the link below!

Directors Summary
Another month passes and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see the momentum building across the entire SRA community. From day one this year, our athletes have shown a clear commitment to their development, attacking their training with intent and setting strong foundations for the future. The energy in the gym, on the track, and within our affiliated programs has been a great reflection of the standards we continue to uphold at SRA.
This month marks several exciting milestones. The launch of the Edinburgh College Basketball Program is a significant step forward in providing structured, long-term pathways for young athletes, blending skill development, physical preparation, and character growth. At the same time, the arrival of the VALD ForceFrame elevates our performance and rehabilitation services, giving our athletes access to world-class testing and data-driven decision making that supports both performance and long-term health.
We’re also proud to extend our partnership with Guzman y Gomez for a further two years. Their continued support of our Athlete of the Month Award allows us to recognise athletes who live our core values of Belief, Discipline, and Ownership, not just in competition, but in their daily habits and preparation. Alongside this, partnerships such as Deuce Brand and the ongoing growth of SRA Medical reinforce our commitment to building a holistic, high-performance environment.
To our athletes, families, partners, and staff, thank you for the trust you place in SRA.
See you in March.
