August has some very exciting news and updates that we would love to share with you.

Athlete Achievements:
We would like to congratulate Libby Wans on her YLW2 grand final win, Kai Garnaut on his YLCM grand final win, and coach Benjamin Galea on his YL1M grand final win.
Further congratulations goes out to Paige Burrows for representing Australia at the most recent Under 19’s World Cup in Madrid and also to Chloe Bibby for making her Australian Opals debut at the FIBA World Cup.
Jasmine Mckenzie, had her first taste of international basketball touring with AUSA Hoops in America.
Outside of basketball we would like to congratulate Adrian Paoletti on his Boxing Nationals gold medal, and Riley Galea for ranking #39 in the 2023 ICF Junior Kayak Cross World Championships.
Athlete Signings
Exciting signings for the season ahead, with Luke Rosendale signing as a Development Player for South East Melbourne Phoenix in the National Basketball League (NBL) and Taylah Simmons for returning from her international contract and signing with the Melbourne Boomers in the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL).
Internationally, we have celebrated the following signings, Alexa Hart in Spain, Alisia Jenkins in France, Jonathon Lawton in Ireland, Matt Attard returns to Malta, and Rahni Samason signed in New Zealand (netball).
We also wish Alicia Froling the best of luck in Korea for the WKBL tournament.
ACL Rehabilitations Journeys:
Congratulations to Reid Amor and Bella Stratford on a successful return following their ACL rehabilitation journeys, both athletes have worked extremely hard to get back to doing the things they love and we look forward to following their journey in the future.
Furthermore, exciting times for Gemma Potter who has also been cleared for a full return to play as she heads up to Canberra to prepare for the upcoming WNBL season.
Special Mention
A special mention goes out to Pro-athletes Angus Glover and Kiera Rowe on their engagement last weekend, we wish you both the best as you continue to grow together both on and off the court.

24/7 Gym Access:
We have introduced 24/7 gym access via key fobs.
Athletes over the age of 18 are permitted to train out of staffed hours, athletes under the age of 18 are required to have longer than 12 months of lifting experience at SRA and must have a nominated guardian supervising them at all times if unstaffed.
