Frequently Asked Questions

FAQS:

Do I need to be an SRA Sports Therapy member to book with SRA Medical?
No. SRA Medical is available to both SRA members and non-members. You can book Physiotherapy, Osteopathy or Psychology even if you do not currently train at SRA.

What service should I book first?
If you are dealing with a specific injury, pain or return-to-sport issue, Physiotherapy is usually the best starting point.

If you are feeling stiff, restricted, sore or want general body management, Osteopathy may be a great option.

If you are struggling with confidence, pressure, injury frustration, motivation or the mental side of sport, Psychology is the best place to start.

Can SRA Medical work with my SRA coach?
Yes. With your permission, our medical team can communicate with your SRA coach to make sure your treatment, rehabilitation and training plan are aligned.

This is one of the biggest benefits of being treated within the SRA environment.

Do you provide rehab programs?
Yes. Where appropriate, your clinician can provide rehab exercises and progression plans. For SRA athletes, this may also be integrated with your strength and conditioning program.

Can you help with return-to-play planning?
Yes. Return-to-play planning is a major part of what we do. Our team can help guide athletes from injury back into training and competition using a structured and progressive approach.

Do you treat non-athletes?
Yes. While SRA Medical has a strong focus on athletes, we also work with active adults and individuals who want to move better, reduce pain and improve their physical function.

Can parents attend appointments with junior athletes?
Yes. Parents are encouraged to attend appointments with junior athletes, especially for injury assessments, rehab planning and return-to-sport discussions.

Is Psychology only for athletes with serious issues?
No. Psychology can be valuable for any athlete who wants support with confidence, mindset, pressure, motivation, performance habits or general wellbeing. It does not need to be a crisis point to seek support.
